Get the app
Three ways in. All of them reach the same application and the same data — installing it simply makes it open like an app and keeps working without a network.
Use it in a browser

Nothing to install. Works on a laptop or a phone.
Open the web appiPhone and iPad

Install to the Home Screen from Safari.
Android

Install from the browser, or from the signed app file.
iPhone and iPad
It must be Safari. On iPhone and iPad, only Safari can add a web app to the Home Screen. Chrome, Firefox and Edge on iOS cannot — this is an Apple restriction, not a limitation of this tool.
- Open Safari and go to slipta.ecsahc.com.
- Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone, or at the top on an iPad.
- Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm the name and tap Add. The icon now sits on the Home Screen.
- Open it from that icon, and sign in once while you still have a connection. After that it works offline.
What to expect on iOS, stated honestly
- No automatic install prompt. iOS never offers one. The steps above are the only way, which is why they are written out in full.
- Open it from the Home Screen icon, not from Safari, so it runs full screen and keeps its own storage.
- Do not "Clear History and Website Data" while you have unsynced work — on iOS that can remove the app's stored data. Sync first.
- Background syncing is limited on iOS. The app syncs when it is open. Open it and confirm on the sync screen rather than assuming it caught up in the background.
Android
- Open Chrome and go to slipta.ecsahc.com.
- Chrome usually offers Install app or Add to Home screen on its own. If it does, accept it.
- If it does not, open the ⋮ menu and choose Add to Home screen or Install app.
- Open it from the new icon and sign in once while you have a connection.
Or install the app file directly
If Chrome does not offer to install, or the tablet has no Play Services, the signed application file below installs the same application with the same data.
Download eSLIPTA for Android (5.5 MB)
- Tap the download. Android will warn that the file came from outside the Play Store — that warning is expected for any app installed this way, and you can allow it for your browser.
- Open the downloaded file and tap Install.
- Open eSLIPTA and sign in once while you have a connection. After that it works offline.
Check the file is the one we published. Anyone can host a file and call it eSLIPTA. This is the SHA-256 of the exact file served from this page — if a copy you were sent does not match, do not install it.

The application is signed with the eSLIPTA release key. Android will refuse to install an update that is not signed by the same key, which is what stops a substituted file from replacing a real install.
Installing a new version is a manual step. The app tells you when a newer version has been published and links back to this page, but it cannot replace itself — you download the file again and install it over the existing app. Nothing already saved on the device is removed by doing so. The version installed through the browser updates itself and needs none of this.
Updates
It depends which way you installed it, and the difference is worth knowing before you rely on one.
- Installed from the browser — updates arrive on their own. When a new version is published the app picks it up and reloads itself. It does not sign you out and it does not discard work in progress.
- Installed from the app file — the app cannot replace itself. When a newer version is published it says so and links back to this page; you download the file again and install it over the app you already have. Nothing saved on the device is removed by doing that.
Either way, if you have unsynced work, sync before updating. The app will tell you if there is anything outstanding.
